Protection and rights

Georgia Tech is committed to protecting the rights and welfare of human research participants in studies conducted on the campus or sponsored by the Institute. Georgia Tech subscribes to the basic ethical principles that should underlie the conduct of biomedical and behavioral research involving human subjects as set forth in the "Belmont Report." Furthermore, members of the School of Psychology adopt the ethical standards described in the American Psychological Associations 2002 Ethical Code.

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) ensures that the rights and welfare of human subjects are protected by reviewing all projects and activities at Georgia Tech that involve human participants. Undergraduates

Some courses give course credit for participating in research. Students must use Experimetrix to sign up for studies and to make sure that they receive proper credit.

To see if any labs are currently seeking paid participants, check our paid participant board.

Non-students

Often studies seek paid participants to help with research. Such requests are listed on our paid participant board.
