Registration Deadline: Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland in Australia in 2008 to encourage graduate students to acquire and hone communication skills. Competitors have three minutes to present compelling talks about their thesis topics.

This year, the Georgia Tech 3MT is open not only to any doctoral student involved in dissertation research, but also to master’s students engaged in thesis research. The top presenters among both master's and Ph.D. students will receive research travel grants and a chance to represent Tech at the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools.

In preparation for the competition, workshops will be held starting Aug. 30 to help students prepare their presentations. Preliminary rounds will be held on Oct. 12 and 18. Finals will be held on Nov. 13.
