Directions
From the North:
- Take 75 or 85 South to 75/85 South.
- Take Exit #249D (North Avenue).
- At the top of the exit ramp, turn right onto North Avenue.
- Go through the first light (Techwood Drive), then make a right onto Cherry Street (just before the next light).
- Make your first left onto Ferst Drive (you can see the Psychology Building, also called the J. S. Coon Building, on the northwest corner of Cherry St. and Ferst Dr.).
- To get to the entrance of the Psychology Building (also called the J. S. Coon Building), walk back down Ferst Drive to Cherry Street. You will pass two small doors to your left, do not go into these doors. The main entrance that you are looking for has large wooden double doors. The main entrance for the Psychology Building faces Cherry Street at the corner (marked with an “x” on the map).
- We are located in room B77.
From the South:
- Take 85 or 75 North to 75/85 North.
- Take Exit #249D (Spring Street/West Peachtree).
- Get in the left lane on the exit ramp
- Go straight through the first traffic light (Spring Street)
- At the second light, make a left onto West Peachtree
- Follow West Peachtree for one block and turn left onto North Avenue
- Take North Avenue through three (3) traffic lights, then make a right onto Cherry Street (just before the fourth traffic light).
- Make your first left onto Ferst Drive (you can see the Psychology Building, also called the J. S. Coon Building, on the northwest corner of Cherry St. and Ferst Dr.).
- To get to the entrance of the Psychology Building (also called the J. S. Coon Building), walk back down Ferst Drive to Cherry Street. Parking
If you are an older adult visiting for a research study, you will be mailed a special parking permit. The parking spaces are the first few spaces that are not reserved for handicapped permits (if you have a handicapped permit simply park in one of the first spaces you see on the right after you turn on to Ferst Drive). Red and white signs are posted in front of the spaces indicating that they are reserved for School of Psychology visitors. Make sure you put your parking pass on your dashboard so that it is visible. There are also spaces on the other side of the street, but you will have to go up the street and turn around to park on the other side of Ferst Drive. Make sure you do not accidentally park in a tow zone. Check the sign in front of the parking space to make sure.
