Directions to the Psychology (J.S. Coon) Building at Georgia Tech.  Map at bottom of page.

From I-75/I-85 Northbound:

·       Take the Spring St./West Peachtree St. exit.  Get in the LEFT lane on the exit ramp.

·       Go straight through the first traffic light (at Spring Street). 

·       At the second light, make a LEFT onto West Peachtree.

·       Follow West Peachtree for one block and then turn LEFT on North Ave.

·       Continue along North Ave. through 3 traffic lights until you get to Cherry St, and make a RIGHT onto Cherry St. (Note that Cherry St. is a small street that leads you onto the campus and can be easy to miss – it is just before the 4th traffic light at the Tech Parkway intersection.) 

·       Once on Cherry St. you will drive a short distance to the first stop sign and make a LEFT onto Ferst Street.  (Note that there are handicapped spaces available immediately after you’ve turned LEFT onto Ferst St.  The other Visitor Parking spaces are located a little further down the street after the road curves to the right.) Visitor Parking is along both sides of Ferst St., and these spots are designated with red signs that say “Psychology Visitor Parking Only”.  Please be sure that you haven’t parked in a tow zone.  Tow zones are clearly marked, so it’s a good idea to check the signs once you’ve parked.

From I-75/I-85 Sorthbound:

·       Take the North Ave. exit and turn RIGHT onto North Ave. 

·       Continue along North Ave. through 1 traffic light until you get to Cherry St, and make a RIGHT onto Cherry St.  (Note that Cherry St. is a small street that leads you onto the campus and can be easy to miss – it is after the Techwood Dr. intersection (i.e., the 1 traffic light you will pass through) and just before the Tech Parkway intersection.)

MARTA Directions:

Take MARTA to the MIDTOWN MARTA station (N4).  The Georgia Tech bus or van (white with gold and black stripes, called the Stinger or Stingerette) runs every 15 minutes.  Ask the bus driver to alert you when you reach the stop at Cherry Street and Ferst Drive.  The Psychology Building (a.k.a. the J. S. Coon Building) is brick and is located on the corner of Cherry St. and Ferst Dr (see map). 

 

*Don't forget to check the enclosed map when you get to campus. It can be very helpful for locating the Psychology building.
