The Georgia Tech student chapter of HFES was founded in Spring Quarter/1999 and represents interdisciplinary interests at Georgia Tech. Our members comprise both graduate and undergraduate students from several different departments: School of Psychology, School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, and the College of Computing.

Generally, we aim to share knowledge and promote an understanding of human factors issued associated with system and product design in a variety of areas.

Specifically, we are interested in discussing and sharing research ideas/projects, and furthering our knowledge from various invited speakers, on topics such as warning labels design, safe product design for industrial and consumer products, accident investigation in the aviation industry, training and personnel selection, human-system interface/interaction, situation awareness, and knowledge engineering.
