Academic Background
I am a bioengineering PhD candidate with my home department in biomedical
engineering.
I have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Morgan State
University and a Master's degree in bioengineering from Georgia Institute of
Technology.
Research Interests
My area of interest lies in engineering applications to neuroscience
specifically in the field of magnetic resonance imaging.
My research involves creating an optimal supervised learning algorithm to
determine eye position using MR signals in the MRI environment.
This work is currently being tested on patients with macular degeneration in
order to determine their level of fixation instability.
The ultimate goal is to use this algorithm in real time to predict eye
movement during functional MRI experiments.
