Currently,
research in the lab is funded by two research
grants from the National Institute on Aging.
The first grant
is a MERIT award (5 R37 AG13148), “Aging,
Metacognition, and Strategy Use During
Learning.” Christopher Hertzog is the Principal
Investigator. John Dunlosky is the
Co-investigator on this project, and conducts
research at Kent State University on a
subcontract from this award. The
grant has will be active through summer 2009 and
a renewal application is in progress.
The second NIA grant, 1
R01 AG024485, is on “Aging and Metacognition During
Strategic Skill Acquisition. Christopher
Hertzog is the Principal Investigator. Dayna R.
Touron is the Co-investigator, and conducts
research at UNC Greensboro on a
subcontract from this award. This grant is
also funded through summer 2009, and a renewal
application is in process.
The grants pay
for several graduate research assistants,
providing both a living stipend and fully
covering tuition. See the link on the lab home
