Graduate Student

Research Interests

I am a second year graduate student in the Adult Development lab.  I am interested in many different topics in psychology, but I am currently focusing on the way emotions and the handling of emotions change across the lifespan.  Currently, I am working to complete my first year project which examines affective forecasting.  We are trying to determine what mechanisms underlie people's poor performance when they are asked to predict how they will feel after a future event, and we hope to understand how this might change with age.  In addition, I am working on my Mater's thesis, which examines changing cognitive costs of emotion regulation as people age.
